About this blog

Digital Gosses is a blog for sharing discoveries, asking for opinions and promoting further research on Medieval manuscripts and Renaissance books at the Bodleian Libraries.

Its purpose is to highlight aspects of all areas of manuscripts and early printed books specialism: textual transmission, palaeography, codicology, decoration and illustration, provenance, history of the book, history of libraries, cataloguing.

The blog is run by the Centre for the Study of the Book and some external collaborators.
