Title: Conservation issues, conservation solutions: illustrated through a description of the treatment of Remmelinus’s “Catoptrum Microcosmicum”

This is the first anatomical atlas to use dozens of engravings superimposed as a series of opening flaps as method of illustration. It is also the first conservation project undertaken by the Oxford Conservation Consortium following Christ Church joining in October 2010.

The talk accompanies the new exhibition open in the Upper Library entitled ‘Time Management – Conservation of Collections (http://www.chch.ox.ac.uk/library/exhibitions).
