New books display in the Radcliffe Camera

Our latest acquisitions can now be browsed and borrowed from the new books display in the Lower Radcliffe Camera.

The display is opposite the Lower Camera Reserve Desk, from which our books can be borrowed by current members of Oxford University. Other Bodleian Library readers can use the books for reference use in the Library.  The books show the status ‘New Books Display’ on the SOLO library catalogue.

Reviews

A number of the books in the display have been reviewed.  An example is McPhee’s Robespierre: A Revolutionary Life, which has been reviewed online on the Reviews in History website, by Oxford University’s Gavin Jacobson.  The author has also written a response to the review.  You can sign up for a weekly email alert from Reviews in History with a round up of their latest reviews.

LibraryThing

You can keep up to date with new acquisitions online via LibraryThing.  The HistoryattheBodleian LibraryThing page contains details of new acquisitions in the Bodleian History Faculty Library, new legal deposit history books in the Bodleian Library and ebooks too.  Each entry has a link to the book’s record on the SOLO library catalogue and some subject tags.

If you are particularly interested in a specific subject area you can subscribe to an RSS feed and get alerts when new books in your favourite field are acquired.  Click on the subject headings below to link to its RSS feed:
