New History books in the Bodleian (week 3 December)

After an absence of a few months, I am delighted to resume announcements on newly received history books in the Bodleian Library.

Details of 35 books received in the Bodleian Library this week have now been added to LibraryThing.  There is something for:

  • medieval history (John of Salisbury, Andalucia)
  • early modern history (colonialism, feminism)
  • modern history (more colonialism, Napoleonic wars, Palmerston and The Times, Third Reich)
  • post-1945 French and German history (right-wing politics, Chancellor Kohl)
  • History of medicine (history of the plague in Manchuria and on tuberculosis)
  • History of science (Newton)

Check these out by using the browse and tag features in LibraryThing to see what is there.
