Vacation loans due today! and here’s how to renew…

Over summer, a new version of SOLO replaced OLIS for searching and managing your patron account.

To renew your books or Bodleian holds, please follow the following simple instructions:

1. Go to the top of SOLO and logon with your Single Sign-on username and password (?). It’s the same as your university email.

2. After you’ve logged in, click on MyAccount (top right of SOLO).

3. You should see a choice of Loans, Requests, Blocks & messages, etc.

4. Click on Loans and renew whichever book you need to renew. This is assuming of course nobody else has requested it and you can still renew.

A full guide is available.

Online renewals for loans and stack requests fixed

News is just in that the bug stopping online renewals of your loans and stack requests has been squashed.

If you have any stack requests in Old Bodleian reading rooms and you want to keep them beyond the clear-out on Monday 1 August clear-out, then you will need to renew before Monday.

How to renew?

  1. Logon to SOLO with your Single Sign-On username and password
  2. Click on <MyAccount>
  3. Click on <Loans>
  4. Renew item from list of loans and stack requests.

There are further teething problems relating to placing more than one hold for the same journal, the eshelf yet to be migrated, and more. Staff are working hard to fix these. Thank you for your patience and please get in touch with library / reading room staff .
