About the John Johnson Collection

The John Johnson Collection is one of the most important and extensive collections of printed ephemera in the world. Formed by John de Monins Johnson (1882-1956), Printer to the University, it contains c. 1.5 million items divided into 680 subject headings.  It is a vast resource of primary documents for historians of all kinds, profession and amateur.

Much of the Collection is now available on the web, through our online catalogue and many projects. While future posts will feature individual web resources, all information can be found on our website.
