Where have all the (recent) COM docs gone?

By | 6 June 2008

The EU law researchers among you may have noticed that no new COM documents have been loaded into the Preparatory Acts section of EUR-Lex since the end of April.

The EUR-Lex helpdesk has explained that there is a problem in the loading chain from the Secretariat General to EUR-Lex.   The technical team has been telling them (for 2 weeks) that it will be solved very soon …  so rumours on blogs and discussion lists that the Commission has gone into limbo pending the Irish vote on the Lisbon Treaty may be unfounded (see, for example http://www.eiaorg.blogspot.com/ )

At present, the best you can do is to view the titles of recent COM documents on the Parliament website, at the bottom of this page:

http://www.europarl.europa.eu/oeil/index.jsp?form=null&language=en

Or better still, on Prelex you can search by date:

http://ec.europa.eu/prelex/rech_simple.cfm?CL=en

Using the search form, type COM in series box and 2008 in the year box to generate a full list.  Clicking on the COM doc reference will display the history of the adoption procedure, but unfortunately not the COM doc itself, if it is dated after 30 April 2008.
