Launch of Europarltv

By | 19 September 2008

From Wednesday 17 September, anyone in the world with internet access has been able to watch a regularly changing set of programmes based around the life of the European Parliament.

Europarltv offers four channels, each directed at a different audience:

Parliament Live carries continuous coverage of live events in the European Parliament, notably debates in the plenary sessions, with a link to the audiovisual archives of previous sessions, as well as the activities of the committees.

Your Parliament is aimed at those with a particular interest in politics at the EU level: informed citizens, industry groups, social partners, lobbyists, academics and those working in the EU institutions.

The other two channels, Your Voice and Young Europe, is aimed at the general public and school children.

The Parliament is strongly committed to providing and interactive service, and all programmes will be translated into more than 20 languages.
