Your computer is being scanned

Please wait – but how long? With the increased volume of users at the beginning of term, we’ve been noticing more readers getting “stuck” in the scanning procedure that checks laptops on our ethernet network for vulnerabilities once a week. This is the process that runs in your browser when you first connect to our ethernet network (not wireless), and then scans your machine weekly thereafter. It should normally take no longer than 20 minutes, so if it is taking longer than that, do come up to the enquiry desk and let us know. It’s helpful if you can tell us your hardware (MAC) address from the screen above, as it will identify your computer. If an IT support person is available they can look into the problem and report it.
