The two Houses of Parliament have joined forces to attempt “to build greater awareness of, and engagement with, parliamentary democracy in the UK.” The initiative culminates in a week-long programme of events designed to engage, inform and inspire. The 2012 week runs 19-25 November. The Parliament Week web site has plenty of information about what’s happening – and links to interesting YouTube interviews on matters democratic and parliamentary from last year – which I imagine will be added to in due course.
The Bodleian’s contribution to this worthwhile cause is an online exhibition – which features highlights from both the Official Papers parliamentary collections (held on the ground floor of the LawBod) and some of the LawBod’s own holdings.
