It’s that time of year again, the time when we at the Law Bod pull on our Christmas jumpers and sit down to write our annual Christmas blog series.  This year we are drawing inspiration from the much-loved genre of the Christmas movie!

There are plenty to choose from, this Wikipedia page  (although slightly out of date and incomplete) suggests hundreds of movies set around or featuring Christmas and most websites/newspapers are publishing a must see list of Christmas features.

Join us each day as we attempt to remind you all of our wonderful resources and services by offering up insightful comparisons with our favourite Christmas films.  From It’s a Wonderful Life to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, hopefully the series will highlight resources you’ll find useful as well as remind you to dust off a copy of your favourite for festive viewing.  Feel free to join in and comment, although would-be film critics should probably save your musings for Rotten Tomatoes or other reputable film sites as we cannot guarantee your favourite will make the list (one that most definitely won’t, you will be pleased to know, is Santa Claus Conquers the Martians).

LibguidesThe series is going to cover lots of different resources for lots of jurisdictions and subjects and so this introduction seems like a good opportunity to remind you that we have many Libguides which go beyond what we could ever mention in a blog post.  The index for these guides can be found on our Libguide landing page.  If you want to browse all the legal databases we have here then you can see a list on our Legal Databases webpage.
