The SPIE (Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers) Digital Library is the most extensive resource available on optics and photonics, and contains video presentations as well as peer-reviewed journal articles, ebooks and conference proceedings.
Birds of the World brings together content from key works of ornithology (Birds of North America, Handbook of Birds of the World, Neotropical Birds and Bird Families of the World) with millions of bird observations from eBird and multimedia from the Macaulay Library.
JSTOR Global Plants aggregates content of interest to those working the in the fields of plant sciences, botany and ecology as part of the Global Plants Initiative (GPI). Content includes images, illustrations, correspondence and a searchable database of over 700,000 plant type specimens.
TAIR – The Arabidopsis Information Resource
TAIR maintains an extensive database of genetic information related to the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. The resource collects together genome sequence and map data, gene product information, information on seed stocks and extensive links to the published literature and additional online Arabidopsis resources.

This 3 dimensional online version of Robert Acland’s atlas shows anatomy from fresh human specimens and real body movement. It includes a series of step-by-step video tutorials, a glossary, an A to Z index, and exam preparation self-testing.
