RefWorks for Humanities (Tuesday 30 October 14.00-17.0o) and RefWorks for Sciences and Social Sciences (Wednesday 7 November 14.00-17.00) both focus on RefWorks and will cover:
- signing up for RefWorks
- adding references to RefWorks from a range of databases and online resources
- inserting references into your word processed documents
- formatting (and reformatting) references using citation styles
- creating bibliographies.
Both sessions will include plenty of opportunities for participants to use RefWorks.
If you can’t come along to the RefWorks session that is most appropriate to your discipline please do come along to the other session. WISER: Technology Tools – Reference Management (Wednesday 21 Nov 14.00-17.00) introduces four software options for managing references and inserting them into your papers including the two market leaders, RefWorks and Endnote and two popular free packages, Zotero and Mendeley. We will discuss some of the pros and cons of each package and factors to consider when making a choice.
