The week of 20 October is international Open Access week and to celebrate this the Bodleian Libraries are hosting a range of talks including:
- Dr Susanna Assunta Sansone from Nature Publishing Group on open data: better data = better science
- Dr Martin Eve on the Open Library of Humanities – Gold Open Access for the Humanities without Author-Facing charges
- Margaret Hurely from the Wellcome Trust on the new Charity Open Access Fund covering Arthrisis Research UK, Breast Cancer Campaign, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and the Wellcome Trust
In addition, we will be running our popular workshops “iSkills: Open Access Oxford – What’s Happening?” (providing guidance on open access publishing via both gold and green routes) and “iSkills: Your thesis, copyright and ORA” (providing guidance for DPhil students on the copyright issues you need to be aware of before uploading your thesis to ORA).
In addition, the Wellcome Trust and Bodleian Libraries will be hosting a drop in session (with tea) on how the Wellcome Trust can help you with open access.
