Get assistance with using SOLO via the Bodleian Libraries Live Chat service. During staffed hours (see above) just type your query into the Live Chat box to the right of the screen and a staff member will reply.

You may also find the SOLO Top Tips video tutorial useful to view (click image above).

Visit the Oxford LibGuides website for an array of how to guides on key library services such as how to print, copy and scan (PCAS). There is also information on online training courses you may find useful to attend (Bodleian iSkills)

Resources for Research Methods and Statistical Analysis

Find a wide range of books and other resources on methodology and statistical analysis in the Social Science Library and online.

Search for print books, e-books and Sage Research Methods Online via SOLO.

The Bodleian Data Library website section on ‘Using data’ and the Social Sciences Data and Statistics LibGuide also provide up-to-date information on data analysis.

Take the SSL on Holiday: ways to access library material remotely

Vacation loans start during 8th week of Michaelmas term. Books (both normal and short  loan) will be due back on Tuesday 15th January (1st week of Hilary Term).

If you need to access library resources while you are away from Oxford, follow our tips below:

Access e-books, e-journals and databases remotely by logging in to SOLO with your Single Sign On (SSO) Take a look at the Bodleian Libraries LibGuides for further information.

SSL eReadings provides scans of selected articles and book chapters on reading lists we support that are not available in e-books or e-journals. SSL eReadings is hosted on WebLearn, log in with your Single Sign On (SSO)

Use the Scan & Deliver service if you need to get hold of a chapter or article from the Closed Stacks. Further information can be found here.

We will be closed from Saturday 22nd December 2018 to Tuesday 1st January 2019 (dates inclusive).

(The library will close at 5pm on Friday 21st December and re-open at 9am on Wednesday 2nd January)

Follow our tips below:
