Toolskit

The Research Skills Toolkit is a free hands-on workshop for graduate research students. In a lively 2-hour session, you will try out a variety of tools and online services to support your research. Repeat sessions will be taking place this January:

  • Tues 16th Jan, 10:00 – 12:00
  • Thurs 18th Jan, 14:00 – 16:00
Sessions will take place at Oxford University IT Services, 13 Banbury Road

A quick reminder that there will be another Research Skills Toolkit session running from 14:00 – 16:00 on  Thursday the 19th January at IT Services, 13 Banbury Road.

The Research Skills Toolkit is a free hands-on workshop for research students. It is an opportunity for you to learn about a broad range of resources in one time-efficient session.

This workshop for All DPhil Students and Research Staff is run jointly by IT Services and the Bodleian Libraries. The workshop explores IT & Library tools, tips and techniques to support researchers in their work.

The workshop provides the opportunity to try out 10 different tools and techniques supported by specialist IT Teachers and Subject Librarians. The workshop includes Managing references, Using citations to create research connections, Styling and structuring academic documents, and Advanced literature searching.

The workshop is supplemented by an online toolkit which researchers may wish to explore to see which tools will best meet their need, whether at the start of a research degree or as a more senior researcher.
