Last month, to accompany a major conference at the Rothermere American Institute, we held an exhibition in the library of items from the Bodleian Libraries’ collections relating to gold rushes and gold mining throughout the world.

An online version of the exhibition has now been created on the RAI website at www.rai.ox.ac.uk/goldrush/exhibition. If you missed the exhibition, or want another chance to see images of the various items that were included, please take a look!

Thanks are due to the Art Gallery of Ballarat for permission to include some images digitised from their collections.
