Here at the Conservative Party Archive, we regularly read articles, dissertations and theses written by those using the archive, and we’re often impressed by their quality and insight. We’re now on the lookout for CPA and Conservative history readers and enthusiasts who might be interested in writing short guest posts for our blog.
Guest posts should be approximately 500 words, and will talk about some aspect of history related to CPA holdings. They should be research-based and will ideally cite CPA resources; posts about dissertation/thesis subjects or preliminary research are great! It would be helpful if you could provide copyright-free or Creative Commons licensed images, but we’re also happy to help with images of CPA material where appropriate. If you’re interested, please drop us an email at conservative.archives@bodleian.ox.ac.uk.
We do reserve the right to reject any posts that might imply political bias on behalf of the Bodleian Libraries or the University of Oxford, or any material that may be considered slanderous.
We’d also like to point our readers to the Conservative History Journal. The Journal is run by the Conservative History Group, which brings together Conservative history enthusiasts for lectures and other events. The Group publishes an annual Journal, for which they are currently seeking submissions. The deadline is the end of July; email info@conservativehistory.org.uk for more details.
