New History books in the Bodleian (week 2 January)

Details of a 50 books received in the Bodleian Library this week have now been added to LibraryThing.  There is something for British history, histories of most European countries and quite a few on Argentine modern history.

  • medieval history (castles in Palestine, nuns & female clergy)
  • early modern history (German 16C nobility, Swedish foreign relations, Habsburg, rhetoric, Armenia)
  • modern history (Napoleonic Wars, 19th freemasons, Holocaust experiences and Jewish emigration to the US, Home Front and WWII military history)
  • post-1945 history (Cold War experiences, French fiscal policies)
  • history of science & medicine: reception of Charles Darwin
