The Legal Workshop

By | 22 April 2009

April 21 was not just a date with royal significance, but also the launch day of a new, free, e-publication from a group of US  law reviews called The Legal Workshop  The founding fathers of this e-journal are the Stanford Law Review, New York University Law Review, Cornell Law Review, Duke Law Journal, Georgetown Law Journal, Northwestern Law Review, and University of Chicago Law Review, which is promising.the-legal-workshop
The Legal Workshop will give a free taster – in what it promises will be “short, plain-English articles” – to a “related, full-length work of scholarship” that is about to be published in one of the participating law reviews. We are urged not to view the articles in the Workshop as abstracts but as “engaging alternative[s] to traditional academic articles.” Something not just for the interested, intelligent layperson but the undergrad (and the law librarian)  who has not yet mastered the jargon.
