Over 500 books donated to library

The Sainsbury Library has been the fortunate recipient of a collection of over 500 books from the personal collection of David and Glenda Abramson.

David is a Director of the Fine Art Fund Group, while Glenda is a distinguished Professor and scholar of Hebrew and Jewish Studies at Oxford, and fellow emeritus at St Cross. The collection is wonderfully diverse and eclectic, encompassing politics, business history and biographies among its broad subject range, as evidenced in this small sample list (pdf, 142kb).

Notably, most of the books are unique to Oxford, and we are very grateful to David and Glenda for their kindness in making this wonderful donation to the Sainsbury Library and to all Oxford’s Library users.
