Pizza/pasta restaurants risk losing market share

The end of the printed newspaper?

The future of the UK newspaper industry remains fairly uncertain following a period of long-term decline.

The declining value is due to a drop in circulation, with fewer consumers buying titles, while newspaper advertising revenue — which makes up a large proportion of the industry’s value — has also decreased. Only digital alternatives seem to offer any way out of this slump.

Welcome back! (term-time hours & vac loan due dates)

The library is now back on term-time hours, so we’re here from 9am until 7pm, Monday-Friday. (SBS members can, of course, access the library any time that the building is open.)

There are a few bank holidays this term, where we’ll only be here until 5pm:

  • Monday 7 May
  • Monday 4 June
  • Tuesday 5 June

If you took out any books on “vacation loan”, they’ll be due back on Monday 23 April (1st week).

Our best wishes for a great start to Trinity Term!
