Advice on printing PDFs from Macs

apple-desk-office-technologyHave a Mac? Wanting to print out a PDF article?

To find out whether you can print a PDF on a Mac (using Preview, the default PDF viewer in OS X), use the following steps:

  1. In Preview’s top menu bar, go to ’Tools’ > ‘Show Inspector’, or press cmd + i.
  2. The Inspector window will now appear.
  3. Click on the padlock icon.
  4. You should then see a summary of the permissions for the current PDF, including whether you may, or may not print the document.
