Due to electrical testing the library will be operating at reduced capacity on the following dates:

07:30-1700 19th of July: The Lower Reading Room will be closed to all readers. The Upper Reading Room will be available and staffed. Entrance will be via the Lower Reading Room door on the train station side of the building. Barriers will be in place to guide you to the Upper Reading Room. Unfortunately we will be closed to non-Oxford Saïd members on this day.
07:30-1700 20th of July: The Upper Reading Room will be closed to all readers. The Lower Reading Room will be available and staffed.

We are about to carry out a stocktake in the Sainsbury Library, during which time there may be increased noise in the reading rooms as we move/scan books.

This work is scheduled to take place between Monday 17th July 2017 to Friday 4th August 2017, during staffed hours (9.00am-5.00pm).

Library staff will of course endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum during this time and any noise will be intermittent. However, students looking for a silent study space are advised to use another library during this time.
