Library Access

The Sainsbury Library opened for all SBS students (advance booking required).

The Sainsbury Library is currently closed to all other visitors. Please read below for further details of the library services that are still available to you.

A number of Bodleian libraries are open to all University members (booking required). Service levels may have to change at short notice, so please do check the Bodleian updates page for the latest information.

Advance Booking for SBS Students

Booking in advance is required for all SBS students wanting to use the library. Slots will be available from 3 days before and must be booked before 8am for same day bookings.
Please email the library or contact your course team for booking details.

Book Returns

Return by post

For those not returning to Oxford, you can post books back for free using this Royal Mail Form.

Temporary loan hubs

The temporary loan return hubs have now closed, but you can still return your books using one of the other methods of return provided by the Bodleian.

Sainsbury Library staff are contactable via the usual off-site channels, and our digital resources are always accessible to you.
