This practical workshop looks beyond the standard Internet search engine to focus on alternative free search sources that index academic research. This includes specialised open access literature sources such as DOAJ, Scirus, and CORE. The workshop will also explore academic networking sites such as Academia.edu, ResearchGate and H-Net as sources of literature and scholarly papers.
