To use the library, you must first:

Please note that you will need to do this even if you were previously registered (due to the library being closed to externals for 2 years, previous registrations have dropped off their system, so need to be registered afresh). This has to be done before you go to the library.

Once registered, access is available Monday – Friday, 10.00 – 15.30.

Limited borrowing is offered to research postgraduates (DPhils), staff, members of St Antony’s College, taught course Sociology postgraduates and Nuffield alumni.

Undergraduates and Bodleian readers will not normally be granted access unless they need to use material that is not available elsewhere; if so, they should email library@nuffield.ox.ac.uk to enquire.
